Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients – Get Ready for Some Epic Zelda Vibes!

Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients

By 2024, my Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom hype will probably have died down a little, and that’s perfect timing for Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients to swoop in and give us that much-needed fix of hack-and-slash Zelda vibes! Trust me, folks, this indie action RPG is shaping up to be an absolute gem.

Let’s talk about this game, shall we? Monolith is currently being developed by the talented folks over at C2 Game Studio in Colombia, and it made quite the splash at the recent ID@Xbox showcase. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it into Xbox’s Summer Game Demo Fest, which is a shame because the combat looks so smooth and satisfying that I would have loved to give it a spin.

So, what’s the story behind Monolith? According to the game’s trailer, it takes place in a world called Gliese, a thousand years after a devastating mass extinction event. In the heart of Gliese stands an ancient monolith, a mysterious and powerful artifact with a murky origin. As you can probably guess, dark forces from the past are hell-bent on seizing its power, but fear not! Our hero, Astor, is ready to kick some serious butt and defend Gliese from those nefarious villains.

Now, let’s talk about Astor’s arsenal because it’s downright awesome. He wields a variety of weapons, including a sword, spear, and hammer. But that’s not all—he also possesses some wicked magic powers and abilities. I mean, this guy can slam enemies between slabs of rock and create a whirlwind around himself! Talk about style and substance. And if you’re a puzzle-solving enthusiast, Monolith has got you covered too. This game is definitely a treat for all you Zelda fans out there.

The combat in Monolith is all about flashy combos and strategic decision-making. You can choose to go on the offensive or play it safe and defensive by utilizing different weapons and abilities. And get this—you’ll even be able to switch weapons mid-combo! Talk about versatility and badassery. C2 Game Studio has really dialed up the excitement factor with this one.

2024 can’t come soon enough for me. I’m a die-hard Zelda fan who craves epic combat that makes me feel like an unstoppable force. And with its vibrant and diverse environments, not to mention our funky little hero wielding a sword, Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients has definitely won me over. I’m counting down the days, folks.

Mark your calendars, because Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients is set to release in 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure filled with nostalgia, action, and all the Zelda vibes your heart desires.
