Diablo 4 Patch 1.1.1: Sorcerers and Barbarians Get a Buff!

The Diablo 4 developers recently held another “campfire chat” livestream to address the concerns of players after a controversial season 1 launch. And guess what? They’re bringing some much-needed changes and buffs to the Sorcerer and Barbarian classes!

In this exciting livestream, game director Joe Shely, associate game director Joe Piepiora, community manager Adam Fletcher, and lead class designer Adam Z. Jackson spilled the beans on the biggest updates coming in patch 1.1.1, scheduled to go live on August 8.

Let’s start with the Sorcerer. If you’ve been feeling squishy and wishing for better late-game survivability, your prayers have been answered! The developers are working hard to improve the effectiveness and fun factor of the Sorcerer. They’ve buffed a bunch of Sorcerer skills, Legendaries, and Uniques to not only address survivability issues but also remove those pesky self-damaging effects. Check out the exciting Sorcerer changes in the stream starting here (link to video).

But that’s not all! The Barbarian class is also getting some major love. If you’ve been yearning for more fury generation and increased damage, get ready to unleash your inner beast. The developers have buffed numerous Barbarian passives, Legendaries, and Uniques, promising stronger builds across the board. Jump into the action and watch the breakdown of Barbarian buffs in this awesome video.

While the focus of patch 1.1.1 is mainly on revamping these classes, other classes like the Rogue and Necromancer are not left behind. Get ready for some exciting buffs across the board! Oh, and did we mention increased Legendary drop rates? Prepare to encounter Butcher and Treasure Goblins more frequently, and brace yourself for loot galore in dungeons.

So mark your calendars for August 8, because patch 1.1.1 is gonna make Diablo 4 even more epic! Can’t wait to get your hands on the official patch notes? Don’t worry, they’ll be published on August 2. In the meantime, check out our guide to Diablo 4 season 1, covering everything from the battle pass to caged hearts and more.
